• Name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account
• Government-issued identification or bar enrollment details (for advocate verification)
• Profile details (photo, professional credentials, areas of practice, for lawyer accounts)
• Legal queries, case details, documents, or messages you submit to use our AI tools or to consult with an advocate
• Payment and billing details (processed via third-party payment gateways; we do not store full card numbers)
• Communications with our support team

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• IP address, device type, browser type, and operating system
• Log data such as pages visited, time spent, and access timestamps
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)
• Approximate location (derived from IP address)

2.3 Information From Third Parties

• Verification data from identity or bar-council verification services
• Information from payment processors regarding transaction status

Important note on AI processing: Legal queries submitted to our AI tools may be processed using third-party or in-house AI models to generate responses. We take reasonable steps to secure this data, but you should avoid submitting information that is not necessary to resolve your query.

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, we process your personal data based on:

• Your consent, given at the time of registration or when submitting a query
• Legitimate use necessary to provide services you have requested
• Legal obligation, where processing is required to comply with applicable law

You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to Section 7 (Your Rights) below. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and may affect our ability to provide certain services.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

• Advocates/lawyers on the platform, solely to facilitate the legal consultation you request
• Service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, identity verification), under contractual confidentiality obligations
• Legal and regulatory authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
• Business transfers, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections

We require all third parties to maintain appropriate security standards and to use your data only for the purposes we specify.

• Erase your personal data, where it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity
• Grievance redressal, by contacting our Grievance Officer (see Section 12)
